šŸ„ž Brunching by the Water: Family Fun at Tavern & Table on Shem Creek

This weekend, we decided to switch things up and head to one of Charleston’s most scenic spots for brunch—@tavernandtable, nestled right on the edge of Shem Creek. Known for its lunch and dinner offerings with a view, we were curious to see how their brunch stacked up. Spoiler alert: it was a hit with the whole family.

🌊 Creekside Charm & Easy Seating

Tavern & Table offers both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can soak in the waterfront vibes or stay cool inside. I brought little man a bit earlier than usual, and we were seated right away—major win. But here’s a tip for anyone brunching in Charleston: make a reservation. Without one, you’re likely in for a long wait, especially on weekends.

šŸ© Sweet Start: Tavern Donuts

We kicked things off with the weekly rotating Tavern Donuts, and wow—these were bursting with flavor. Soft, warm, and just the right amount of indulgent. Little man gave them his official toddler stamp of approval, which is no small feat.

🌯 Big Bites & Bigger Portions

For my main dish, I went with the T&T Burrito, and it was packed with depth and flavor. Every bite was a delicious surprise. For little man, we ordered the kids pancakes, which came out in a generous portion and were devoured with enthusiasm. No one left hungry, and that’s saying something.

šŸ‘Øā€šŸ‘©ā€šŸ‘§ā€šŸ‘¦ Family-Friendly Details

Tavern & Table isn’t just about good food—it’s designed with families in mind. You can arrive by car or even boat (yes, really!). And for parents with infants, there’s a changing table in the ladies’ room, which is always a thoughtful touch.

šŸ¹ More Than Just Brunch

Whether you’re stopping in for brunch, dinner, or just drinks with a view, Tavern & Table is a must-visit. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is top-notch, and it’s a place where everyone—from toddlers to grandparents—can feel at home.
