Brunching in Style at Church and Union Charleston ⛪🍳

If you’ve ever wandered through downtown Charleston and found yourself craving a brunch that’s both elevated and welcoming, let me point you toward one of my favorite spots: @churchandunioncharleston. Located at 32b North Market Street, right in the heart of the city, this restaurant has become a go-to for my family and friends—and for good reason.

🏛️ A Sacred Space Turned Culinary Gem

Church and Union is housed in a former church, and the ambiance reflects that beautifully. Vaulted ceilings, dramatic lighting, and a sense of reverence for both the building’s history and the food it serves. The name fits perfectly, and the vibe is equal parts cozy and sophisticated.

🍽️ Brunch That Brings Everyone Together

We mainly visit for brunch, and it’s always a hit with the whole crew—grown-ups and toddlers alike. They offer:

  • Brunch: Friday–Sunday, 9:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • Lunch: Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • Midday Meal: Daily, 3:30–5:00 PM
  • Dinner: Daily, 5:00 PM–until

Pro tip: Make a reservation ahead of time. They’re always busy, and for good reason—the food is fantastic.

On our most recent visit, we all tried something new:

  • Applewood Bacon Omelet – smoky, fluffy, and packed with flavor
  • Avocado Toast – fresh and vibrant, with a satisfying crunch
  • Breakfast Sandwich – hearty and comforting
  • CU Burger – I had a burger craving and this one was fabulous. Juicy, flavorful, and totally brunch-worthy

While I didn’t spot a dedicated kids’ menu, we ordered a variety of sides for the little ones, and they were toddler approved. Think crispy potatoes, fresh fruit, and buttery biscuits—easy to share and perfect for picky palates.

🍹 Sip Something Special

Their full bar is another highlight, offering specialty cocktails, a wide wine selection, and a solid beer list. Whether you’re in the mood for a mimosa or something more adventurous, they’ve got you covered.

😲 The Holy Sh!t Breakfast (Yes, That’s the Name)

One dish I’ve been eyeing for a future visit is the Holy Sh!t Breakfast. It’s designed for two (or more!) and includes:

  • Fried chicken
  • Eggs
  • Bacon
  • House-made donuts
  • Biscuits with jam
  • Your choice of a mimosa or bloody mary

It’s a feast that deserves a full crew and a celebratory mood. One day, I’ll rally the troops and make it happen!

If you’re planning a family outing, a brunch date, or just want to treat yourself to something special, Church and Union Charleston should absolutely be on your list. And when you go, tag me in your foodie photos over on Instagram @fabulousfoodventures—I love seeing your delicious discoveries!

Until next time, happy brunching! 🥂💛
