đĽ Brunching by the Water: Family Fun at Tavern & Table on Shem Creek
This weekend, we decided to switch things up and head to one of Charlestonâs most scenic spots for brunchâ@tavernandtable, nestled right on the edge of Shem Creek. Known for its lunch and dinner offerings with a view, we were curious to see how their brunch stacked up. Spoiler alert: it was a hit with the whole family.
đ Creekside Charm & Easy Seating
Tavern & Table offers both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can soak in the waterfront vibes or stay cool inside. I brought little man a bit earlier than usual, and we were seated right awayâmajor win. But hereâs a tip for anyone brunching in Charleston: make a reservation. Without one, youâre likely in for a long wait, especially on weekends.
đŠ Sweet Start: Tavern Donuts
We kicked things off with the weekly rotating Tavern Donuts, and wowâthese were bursting with flavor. Soft, warm, and just the right amount of indulgent. Little man gave them his official toddler stamp of approval, which is no small feat.
đŻ Big Bites & Bigger Portions
For my main dish, I went with the T&T Burrito, and it was packed with depth and flavor. Every bite was a delicious surprise. For little man, we ordered the kids pancakes, which came out in a generous portion and were devoured with enthusiasm. No one left hungry, and thatâs saying something.
đ¨âđŠâđ§âđŚ Family-Friendly Details

đš More Than Just Brunch
Whether youâre stopping in for brunch, dinner, or just drinks with a view, Tavern & Table is a must-visit. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is top-notch, and itâs a place where everyoneâfrom toddlers to grandparentsâcan feel at home.
