Girls Night at By The Way 🍸✨ Southern Charm Meets Charleston Flavor

If you know me, you know my guilty pleasure is watching Southern Charm—so when I heard that Craig Conover and Austen Kroll teamed up with Uptown Hospitality to open a new spot in downtown Charleston, I had to check it out. Enter: By The Way (BTW).

📍 By The Way
45 ½ Spring Street, Downtown Charleston
🕓 Hours:
Mon–Wed: 4 PM–2 AM
Thu–Fri: 12 PM–2 AM
Sat–Sun: 11 AM–2 AM
🍳 Brunch: Sat & Sun, 11 AM–3 PM

First Impressions: Trendy, Playful, and Perfect for Adults

From the moment we walked in, BTW gave off a playful lounge vibe—trendy but not pretentious, and definitely designed for adult fun. Can you bring your kids? Technically, yes. But honestly, this is one of those places where you’ll enjoy yourself more without a toddler on your hip. It’s ideal for:

  • 🍸 Girls night out
  • 🥂 Catching up with friends
  • ❤️ Date night with your partner
  • 🎉 Pre-dinner drinks or late-night bites

Sips & Bites: Small Menu, Big Flavor

We started with cocktails at the bar, and I couldn’t help but admire the creative touches—many of the drinks came adorned with the BTW logo, which added a fun, branded flair. The cocktail menu is varied, and the beer list includes Austen Kroll’s own Trop Hop, which is a cool nod to the local celeb connection.

The dinner menu is limited in size, but not in flavor. Every bite we had was packed with taste and left us wanting more. I haven’t tried their brunch yet, but if it’s anything like dinner, I’ll be back soon—brunch menu or not.

Final Thoughts: BTW Is Worth the Hype

Whether you’re a Southern Charm fan or just looking for a fresh spot to unwind, By The Way delivers. It’s stylish, flavorful, and fun—exactly what you want when you’re out with your besties or enjoying a night off from parenting duties.

If you go, I’d love to see your experience—tag me on Instagram @fabulousfoodventures and show off your cocktails, bites, and best Charleston vibes!
