This past weekend, I was on the hunt for a new brunch spot to enjoy with my friend and my son—and we struck gold with Rudy Royale, located at 209 E Bay Street in downtown Charleston. If you love classic Southern food with a modern twist, this place is a must-visit.

We kicked things off with a Flight of Sparkling and Frozen Cocktails—and funny enough, my friend and I picked the same four drinks to try. Each one had its own unique flavor profile, and honestly, this is the perfect option if you’re indecisive or just want a little taste of everything.

We started with the cinnamon rolls, and WOW—these were a hit across the board. Big smiles from my toddler and happy sighs from the adults. Soft, gooey, and just the right amount of sweet.

For my main dish, I couldn’t resist the Smash Burger (yes, another one!), and it absolutely delivered. The flavor was bold and balanced—definitely earning a spot in my Top 3 Smash Burgers in Charleston.

My son went with the Mac n Cheese from the kids menu, which includes all the classic staples little ones love. It was toddler approved, and he was content (and quiet!) for a solid stretch of the meal. That’s a win in my book.
