This past weekend, I returned to one of my favorite spots—@pelatocharleston—for a special Mommy’s and Sons Brunch with a dear friend. It was their first weekend serving brunch, and let me just say… they did not disappoint. If anything, they raised the bar.
With five of us at the table, we came hungry and ready to explore the menu. And explore we did. We tried a lot—and every single dish was a hit. Here’s a peek at our indulgent lineup:

- Eggs Bene-Vic – a bold twist on the classic, rich and satisfying
- Frittata Caprese – light, fresh, and bursting with basil and tomato
- That Italian Sandwich – stacked with flavor and perfectly toasted
- Cannoli Pancakes – dessert for breakfast? Yes please
- French Toast… But Italian – a sweet surprise with a European flair
- Crispy Zucchini Strings – the boys were convinced they were fries (and devoured them)
- Crispy Garlic Brunch Potatoes – golden, garlicky, and addictive
- Meatballs Al Forno – hearty, comforting, and full of depth
- Radiatori Vodka – creamy, savory pasta perfection
Every entrée was fabulous. The flavors were layered, thoughtful, and absolutely crave-worthy. You could tell the kitchen poured love into every plate.
Moms, listen up—skip the mimosa this time. Pelato’s Frozen Limoncello Drop and Frozen Espresso Martini are game-changers. Bright, refreshing, and just the right amount of indulgent. They’re the kind of brunch cocktails that make you feel like you’re on vacation.
