🌓 Family-Friendly Vibes at Share House in Downtown Charleston

This past weekend, my friend and I took my son to Share House for a laid-back lunch adventure—and let me tell you, it was just what we needed. Located at 23 Ann Street in the heart of downtown Charleston, Share House brings a breezy beach vibe to the city, with a casual atmosphere that’s perfect for families, friends, and anyone craving good food with good company.

šŸ•’ Hours & Atmosphere

Share House is open:

  • Tuesday–Thursday: 4pm–2am
  • Friday–Sunday: 11am–2am

We went during their weekend lunch hours, which I highly recommend if you’re bringing little ones. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and there’s plenty of space for a 2.5-year-old to stretch his legs (and run laps, if needed—LOL!). The vibe is relaxed, welcoming, and just the right amount of lively for a midday meal.

šŸ¹ Sips & Seasonal Bites

I kicked things off with their signature Orange Crush cocktail, and now I totally get the hype. It’s refreshing, citrusy, and—dare I say—dangerously delicious. šŸ˜‚

They’ve recently updated their menu for the fall season, and I was excited to dive in. I went with the Smash Burger, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s one of my favorite smash burgers in Charleston. Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My friend ordered the Chicken Caprese Sandwich, which looked amazing and got a big thumbs-up from her.

šŸ‘¶ Kid-Friendly Tips

While Share House doesn’t have a dedicated kids’ menu, our server was super helpful in offering plain versions of menu items—like a hot dog or burger. They also have chicken fingers on the menu, which is always a win. We went with the hot dog for my son, and it was toddler-approved… for about five minutes. After that, he was much more interested in exploring the space. He’s at that age, though!

One thing to note for parents: I didn’t spot any changing tables in the restrooms, so plan accordingly if you’ve got diaper duty during your visit.

šŸŒ† Great for Lunch, Even Better for Early Dinner

Share House is a solid pick for weekend family lunches, and I’d also recommend it for early dinners—just keep in mind that King Street gets a little more lively as the evening rolls on. If you’re looking for a spot that balances fun and flexibility, this one’s a winner.

So next time you’re planning a family outing in downtown Charleston, definitely add Share House to your list. And if you go, tag me at @fabulousfoodventures on Instagram—I’d love to see your experience!
