🍸 Girls Night Goals at Lamar’s Sporting Pub: Espresso Martinis, Wiener Towers & Southern Charm

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I have a soft spot for Southern Charm—my guilty pleasure and a fun peek into Charleston’s social scene. So, when I found out that Lamar’s Sporting Pub, owned by Lamar and Leva Bonaparte (yes, those Bonapartes!), was open at 570 King Street, I knew it was time for a girl’s night out. Bonus: it’s right next to Bourbon N Bubbles, another favorite of mine and also part of their restaurant family.

👏 Parent-Friendly Transparency

Before we even stepped inside, Lamar’s earned my appreciation. When I made our reservation, they clearly stated that this is not a kid-friendly restaurant/bar—and they even broke down the age policy: 18+ until 9pm, and 21+ after. Thank you, Lamar’s! As a parent, this kind of clarity is gold. It helps us plan ahead and avoid any awkward surprises. Since this was a kid-free girls’ night, it was perfect.

🛋️ Cozy Corners & Sporty Energy

Walking in, the layout is sleek and inviting. Tables line one side and lead back to the bar, which opens up to more seating. But my favorite spot? The four cozy couches up front, surrounded by bookshelves that give off a relaxed, study-lounge vibe. We settled in on a couch and kicked things off with Espresso Martinis—because what’s a girl’s night without a little caffeine and glam?

🌭 The Legendary Wiener Tower

Now let’s talk about why I really came: Sir Wiener’s Wiener Tower. Yes, it’s a thing. And yes, it’s amazing. Picture this: a tower stacked with five different hot dogs from Sir Wiener’s menu, a generous layer of truffle fries, and a variety of dipping sauces. There’s even a bit of pomp and circumstance when it arrives—because a tower of flavor deserves a grand entrance!

It’s the perfect shareable snack for lounging, sipping cocktails, and watching your favorite sporting event on one of the many TVs scattered throughout the space. Sir Wiener’s menu is available at Lamar’s:

  • Wednesday–Friday: 6pm–12am
  • Saturday–Sunday: 4pm–12am

So plan accordingly and come hungry!

💬 Final Thoughts

Our girl’s night at Lamar’s Sporting Pub was a total win. Great drinks, delicious bites, and a vibe that’s both stylish and chill. If you’re planning a night out without the kids, this is a spot worth adding to your list.
