If you’re looking for a laid-back spot to gather with friends and family, Tideland Brewery in North Charleston is a hidden gem worth discovering. Located at 4155 Dorchester Rd, this small, newer brewery has quickly become a go-to for casual meetups, celebrations, and weekend wind-downs.
We recently visited for a friendâs birthday party and brought the whole crewâincluding our toddlerâand it turned out to be a great choice for everyone.
đș Brews & Bites for All
Tideland offers a wide variety of beers on tap and in cans, so whether you’re into IPAs, lagers, or something seasonal, there’s plenty to explore. And the food? Surprisingly solid for a brewery. Their full menu covers everything from snacks to full meals, making it easy to settle in for lunch or dinner.
While they donât have a dedicated kids menu, they do offer several options that work well for little ones. Our toddler was perfectly content with a jumbo hot pretzel, chicken fingers, and a few bites of their smash burgerâwhich, by the way, is seriously delicious. Definitely worth ordering whether youâre sharing with the kiddos or keeping it all to yourself.

Tideland Brewery is welcoming to families, but there are a couple things to keep in mind:
- No high chairs spotted during our visit, so plan accordingly if youâve got a younger child.
- No changing tables available, so bring your own setup or be ready with a plan B.
That said, the relaxed vibe and spacious layout make it easy to enjoy your time without feeling cramped or rushed.
